It’s Time to Move On
The house (and yes, the garden too) is on the market. It’s been a fulfilling accomplishment and now it’s time for a new dream.
Speaking of moving on, we have a new project in Olde Oakville near the harbour. This lovely property was built in the early 1900s, a clay brick home with lots of inherent charm and just in need of some TLC.
We’ve been working on “de-cutsiefying” it and cleaning up the property and home in anticipation of some major overhauls. We’re digging out the cubby space basement to a depth of 10′ to increase the living space. Once all of the core structural work is done, we can get to work on refreshing the landscape and designing a great garden space. We’ll be posting the progression as we go.
The front exterior of Forsythe is being worked on as we dig out the back. New posts, railings, soffits, fascia, bracket details and crown mouldings.
Our “new” drive-out basement. The long-awaited dig permit is in hand and we’re wasting no time taking the floor level down 10’ under the house.
With the new I-beam steel support in place the underpinning and dig begins.
Hopefully this is the only time we have a digger downstairs.
